3 Quick And Easy Ways To Build A Profitable Opt In List

Posted by: guestauthor  :  Category: Uncategorized

So, you finally realize that you really should be building a good opt-in list. You’ve read countless articles, sought expert advice, and have read many success stories of people creating a small fortune with opt-in lists. Finally, you reach the inevitable decision that you need to have one of your own. Then it happens.

You thought you knew everything there was to know about opt-in lists and have followed all the advice you have been given - yet you still weren’t able to turn a profit.

Horror of horrors, you may even be losing money. Perhaps you are hiring writers to help you out, or have incurred some other expenses. If those expenses amount to more than the profit you generate, you will lose money.

Even if you have a big list, if only a very small percentage of that list  actually buy from you, you’re still losing out on potential profit. You’ll realize that when, after a few months, you see your statistics and sales figures.

So what could possibly have gone wrong? Why have others succeeded where you have failed? How do they make it all seem so easy?

The most common mistake is that you dived straight right in. You selected a niche that you thought could be quite popular and would earn you money, but this just wasn’t the case. Just because you write to your list members recommending a product or service doesn’t automatically mean they are going to buy instantly.

If you are one of those who have started an opt-in list and failed, you can rejuvenate your failed venture. For those who are just starting out, here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.

1) You must gain credibility and your list members’ trust first. Just launching your opt-in list does not automatically make you an expert and a believable seller. You need to write many articles first before you start an opt-in list. Write about the topic you know and have used for your site. Go to the relevant forums first where you can gain knowledge about your prospective customers, their wants and needs, and make those your target.

Join forums from other sites as well. Provide expert advice and recommendations to the members of those forums. When you feel that people trust you enough, you will be able to start your own opt-in list. You can build a base as well with other forum users and ask them to join your list.

Your friends could be good customers. Put up a link to your site so that they can see what your business is all about.

The fact of the situation is that the money will only come in when the consumers and subscribers believe and trust in you. They want a product or service that could be a good exchange for their money. People are not going to buy something just because of your recommendation if they don’t even know you.

2) You must find a product or service that people want and need. Although it may not be your forte, if you provide a service and product that you have researched and learned about, you can carry it on forward. Invest your time, effort and money into something that you could sell, that the buyers or subscribers of your opt-in list can genuinely use.

While it is true that your best course of action is to sell something that you have more than a passing interest in, there won’t be many people who have the same interest as you if you decide to sell something that is not popular or profitable. Do your research well and you will see the profits come in.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list users. This can be extremely beneficial, especially if it is someone who has already launched products to a successful opt-in list. These are the people who have the experience in this venture, and experience is still the best teacher. While there are many articles available on the internet for you to learn from, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust.

An experienced opt-in list user will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do, because they have gone through it themselves. While different situations occur for different people, the general concept can still be very helpful. There are many things to avoid and these people will be able to advise you well.

Building a profitable opt-in list doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes hard work and time. Opt-in lists are built from scratch. As your list grows, you should also make sure you maintain the high quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable. Get or hire help if you need to.  Make sure that your subscribers are happy and satisfied, and they will be willing to buy from you.

Eating grilled food is super special

Posted by: guestauthor  :  Category: Uncategorized

Summer is fading fast and it’s pretty cold outside. Never the less, I still enjoy grilling with friends. Whether with a gas grill, charcoal grill, portable or fixed, it doesn’t matter. I love the smell of meat grilling on an open flame and soaking up the mesquite smell. There are so many ways to marinate the meat, making it tender, juicy and just taste plain awesome.

Everytime we grill it reminds me of fun summer evenings with our family and close friends. Laughing, having fun, watching the kids play, all are wonderful memories. I even think of football tailgate parties we had with a dear departed friend who always made them boisterous, loud, and so much fun.

The most convenient is the portable gas grill. The most interesting is the indoor grill. The ability to grill indoors means you can do it all winter long (which is fast approaching). The portable option means you can take it with you anywhere and share the fun with those who may not get to do it as often.

So I say, have fun America, and start grilling to your hearts content. You don’t have to stop at meat. Do vegetables, like corn, skewers, cabobs, whatever you can come up with. You can probably grill just about anything.

De-cluttering before packing to Move

Posted by: guestauthor  :  Category: Uncategorized

De-cluttering before packing is an important aspect of preparing to move - because it allows you to decide what you’ll need for the new house, what you’ll have room for, and what you won’t.

The most important thing to remember when de-cluttering is that you’ll be making room and getting rid of emotional baggage, whilst lowering your moving bills. An average four person house requires at least a seven tonne van to move, whilst a house that doesn’t de-clutter might need twice that!

De-cluttering can be considered essential or heartless - but either way, moving house is one of the best times to do a proper de-clutter - in fact sometimes, its the only ’spring clean’ that some people do. And while its always good to hang onto things of sentimental value, do you really need a newspaper from 1985 with an article about something that you needed to follow up within a week of the printing?

Get rid of any papers that you don’t need (though keep all important documentation) - consider donating any magazines, books, old toys or clothes in good condition to a local charity - or sell them on eBay or similar, to make some cash.

These donations and sales make mental and space sense - you’re not wasting perfectly good items you will probably never use again, and you could sell the really good condition items in a variety of places. You could hold a yard sale, or garage or even a car boot sale - or if you have enough time, auction them online, either via a recognized site, or through your own website, if you have the know how - getting rid of the things you don’t need is both very freeing and releasing, and can actually generate you some extra money for the move. You could even sell off surplus office, or craft supplies, if you have them spare, making your home office move leaner, and easier.

Evolving Bifocal Glasses to Keep Up With Contacts

Posted by: guestauthor  :  Category: Uncategorized

The American gentleman of science, Benjamin Franklin, who endured both nearsightedness as well as presbyopia, invented bifocals in 1784 to avoid needing to often alternate between two pairs of eyeglasses.

The original lens pair intended for correcting astigmia were distributed by the British astronomer George Airy within 1825.

Along the history of bifocal reading glasses, the building of pectacle frames also evolved. Early on glasses were contrived to be either held in place with your hand or by maintaining force on the nose. Girolamo Savonarola advised that oculars could be held in place with a ribbon placed over a person’s head, which in turn was fastened by the weight of a hat.

Entering modern bifocal history, the contemporary fashion of bifocal reading glasses supported by temples passing over the ears, was produced in 1727 by the British lens maker Edward Scarlett. These designs were not at once prosperous, however, and assorted styles with attached handles like “scissors-glasses” and lorgnettes stayed fashionable throughout the eighteenth and into the early nineteenth century.

In the early 20th century, Moritz von Rohr at Zeiss made the Zeiss Punktal spherical point-focus lens system which dominated the eyeglass lens field for several years.

Despite the improving fame of contacts and laser restorative eye surgery, spectacles remain rather popular, as their technology has continued to improve. For example, it’s currently possible to buy frames constituted of special memory metal alloys that return to their correct configuration after being bent. Other frames have spring-loaded hinges.

Glasses have come a long way, haven’t they? In fact, today you can even buy rimless bifocals.

Many of these modern contraptions are also distinctly better able to resist the challenges of day-to-day wear and tear and the occasional accident. Contemporary frames are also frequently constructed from substantial, light-weight materials like titanium alloys which were not available in earlier years.
